We had my daughter's 18th birthday dinner there recently. We sat in the back dining room. It cleared out as it was a Sunday evening so we had the room to ourselves. With the fireplace going, the football on TV, and the classic rock playlist, Dad(me) was a happy guy. The food and service were excellent. I had the fish-n-chips and it was delicious. Great job Carson's, it was a memorable dinner.

Waitress Chastity was awesome, never stopped moving and checking on everyone. Prime rib dip... best flavor ever... bourbon beer always great... bourbon old fashion tasty... but on the smaller side. All food was great!

Great ambiance and menu lots of choices for libations. Service was good. Can't beat the location

Great spot made better!! Last time I was here it was Cliff's. The inside hasn't changed one bit but the patio and outdoor space sure has! Wow, where did that view of the lake come from?! We ordered a burger and two Rueben sandwiches, one with onion rings and two with fries. Everything was absolutely delicious! Great burger and very good Rueben, highly recommend it! And we had perfect service! My pic isn't the best because I had already dug in.

What a great place Worlds best Reuben. Best service by Kaley. Killer views. Relaxed sunny vibes.

If you've read any of my previous reviews, you know I'm pretty reasonable unless the place isn't good. Well I've found Carson's Woodside Tavern extremely good. We caught lunch there on a Sunday afternoon during track season. My wife ordered the Clucking chicken and I ordered the prime rib sandwich. We then split the sandwiches so we could experience both of them. We both agreed that the sandwiches were very tasty. They both came with fries and a pickle. Our waitress was Ruey and she was fantastic. She had a bubbly personality, always smiling and kept the drinks full. We want to come for dinner one night and just have to figure out when. Also there is a band from 4:30 on. Great place, highly recommended

My mom & I visited Saratoga Springs this weekend and I found in a Google search Carson's. The restaurant is located Malta, NY which was only around 15 mins away. Monday nights are trivia nights but if you're looking to participate, make sure you have a charged device because that's how they keep score of points. The view is amazingggg from where the tavern lies. The food and drinks were also exceptional! We had the tuxedo shrimp to start and a Caesar salad & the mac and cheese which were both delicious. They also had fire pits which we took advantage of before leaving. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area!

To kick things off, Carson's Woodside Tavern is a pretty good place to grab a bite to eat. With that in mind, I ordered the clam chowder as an appetizer and the fish and chips as an entree. First, I dug into the clam chowder and it was very tasty. The chowder was creamy, thick, and flavorful. I was surprised by how good the chowder was from a non-seafood restaurant. After that, I moved onto the fish and chips and the results were similar. To elaborate, the fish was crispy, seasoned, and juicy. In addition, the fish was fresh and had good overall flavor. In the same vein, the fries were excellent. The fries were beer battered which is unusual, but I loved them. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. These were some of my favorite fries. In the long run, Carson's Woodside Tavern is a good restaurant and I highly recommend the fish and chips.

Well, eight years have passed and I'm back. The dining area has expanded, both internally and externally. Fortunately, the parking area has also been expanded to accommodate the expected increase in business. All of this is very good. The internal area is spacious and clean, the patio is also spacious, and a canopy protects the al fresco diners from any rain or drizzle. Today was one of those on-again/off-again precipitation days so I believe more patrons chose to eat indoors rather than under the canopy. Thus, like my previous experience the noise level of customers talking and young children occasionally screaming was quite high. Once most of the dining room cleared out by 2:15 the acoustics were more acceptable. I really enjoyed my Classic Reuben ($17.25) with French fries, I didn't try the pickle spear. The corned beef was tender, flavorful, thinly sliced, and layered with the sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. The bread was nicely toasted. While the beer battered fries were a little limp, they were hot and tasty. Since the corned beef had been braised in Guinness, I decided to wash it all down with a pint of Guinness. How ingenious. Considering how busy they were, service was excellent.
